Free Tutors
Free tutors: Students may visit 826michigan to receive extra help and extra credit. The workshops are fascinating and great fun. 826michigan offers free tutoring, and students love to go there and enjoy working with the friendly and helpful tutors. Extra Credit
If you attend an AADL, 826michigan, Neutral Zone or book store event, bring in a signed note to receive extra credit. Students who qualify may earn extra credit by visiting 826michigan, attending workshops at 826Michigan, the Neutral Zone, book stores, or libraries, and entering writing competitions. Extra credit points earned will vary according to effort and product.
Extra credit may be earned by any student who has NO MISSING ASIGNMENTS. Extra credit will not be awarded to a student with frequent poor scores on classwork, poor classroom effort or any missing assignment. The intent of extra credit is for students to extend effort beyond the standard expectations of the classroom.

Constitution Day. A huge thank you to Lori Buiteweig, J.D., and the attorneys with the Washtenaw County Board Association. They arrrange for attorneys to present an engaging lesson about the Constitution to EVERY social studies class at every AAPS middle school, grades 6 through 8 on September 17. No easy feat!
Here's a letter that attorney Mr. Matthew Krichbaum sent back in reply to 5th hour's thank you notes. He wrote back to every fifth hour student who wrote a thank you note to him. Mr. Krichbaum's specialty area is Constitutional law. How lucky for us!
